Building Construction Program Manager 1

Duties will include, but not be limited to: o Assist in managing and coordinating medium and large-scale site construction projects for client agencies. o Manage simple site construction projects for small client agencies. o Ensure that the assigned program responsibilities or assigned projects meet client requirements, and are completed within time limitations and within funding allocations determined by the client and Division of the Budget.

Salary Range: From $56604 to $71980 Annually
Minimum Qualification
New York State Employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service as a Building Construction Program Manager 1, OR with one year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service as an Engineer Trainee and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Employees reachable on the Building Construction Program Manager 1 Civil Service eligible list will be canvassed and should not respond to this posting. Provisional Pending Examination: One year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as a Junior Engineer, Engineer Trainee, Junior Architect, Principal Drafting Technician (and all parenthetics), Junior Landscape Architect, Assistant Superintendent of Construction, Construction Estimator 1 (Mechanical), Construction Estimator 1 (Architectural), Junior Mechanical Estimator, or Junior Architectural Estimator. OR Six years of experience in multi-trade building construction that must include at least one year of managing multiple building construction projects. Experience managing multi-trade building construction projects shall include responsibility for three or more of the following areas: construction planning, coordination of multiple trades, cost estimating, project scheduling, material purchasing, resource management (including labor, material, and equipment scheduling), and construction document reading and interpretation (e.g. plans and specifications). Substitution: An associate's degree in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, engineering technology, construction technology, building science, or architectural technology may substitute for two years of the general experience. A bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, engineering technology, construction technology, building science, or architectural technology may substitute for four years of the general experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
